lyrics

I got off work one night
The minutes felt like hours
I walked out feeling alright
Nothing could ruin this night

My friends came by to pick me up we had no destination
I hopped into the back seat
No ending to this night I could see

The way we're living these days, we could not forget these times
Makes me think that things will be alright

As the sun sets faster
And the leaves drift down
I wish that things could stay the same just for now
It's not saying goodbye
It's not moving on
These memories will last forever
The best days of our lives

On a weekend in July
There was a party in the bush
I sat around with all the guys
Telling stories by the fire
We walked home along the highway, we didn't mind the trip
Talked life along the way, ready to face a new day

The way we're living these days, we could not forget these times
Makes me think that things will be alright

As the sun sets faster
And the leaves drift down
I wish that things could stay the same just for now
It's not saying goodbye
It's not moving on
These memories will last forever
The best days of our lives
